REPAIR & SERVICE WAIVERI authorise Hoets and Associates and its technician(s) to perform diagnostic, repair and related services on my computer, laptop, MacBook or other electronic device. I understand that Hoets and Associates is an independent repair business and is not an authorised service centre for any manufacturer. I further agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Hoets and Associates from any claims or damages arising from repair work performed on my device, except where such loss or damage is caused by the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of Hoets and Associates.I understand that repair work may involve the removal, replacement or testing of components and that Hoets and Associates cannot guarantee the preservation of any data stored on my device. It is my sole responsibility to back up all important data before submitting my device for repair. Hoets and Associates accepts no responsibility for any loss of data, software, licences, passwords or settings that may occur during or after the repair process.I certify that I am the lawful owner of the device described in this document or that I have the owner's authority to authorise these repairs. Should this declaration prove to be incorrect, I accept full responsibility for any claims arising from the work performed and agree to indemnify Hoets and Associates against any such claims.I understand that repairs carried out by Hoets and Associates may void any existing manufacturer or extended warranty on my device. Hoets and Associates accepts no responsibility or liability for any manufacturer warranty that may be affected or cancelled as a result of repair work performed.Hoets and Associates provides a limited three (3) month warranty on workmanship and replacement parts supplied by Hoets and Associates. This warranty is limited solely to the specific repair performed and does not cover unrelated faults, accidental damage, misuse, abuse, power surges, software problems, customer tampering, or normal wear and tear.IMPORTANT – LIQUID-DAMAGED DEVICES: I understand that repairs to liquid-damaged or corrosion-damaged motherboards, logic boards and printed circuit boards are inherently unpredictable. Liquid damage often causes hidden corrosion and latent faults that may not be visible or repairable. Although every reasonable effort will be made to repair my device, Hoets and Associates makes no guarantee that the repair will be successful or permanent. No warranty whatsoever is provided on any liquid-damaged board repair, and any subsequent failure of the repaired board or additional faults developing after repair shall be entirely at my own risk. Payment is for the diagnostic and repair services performed and not for a guaranteed repair outcome.IMPORTANT – ULTRASONIC CLEANING: I understand that ultrasonic cleaning is an industry-accepted cleaning method used to remove contamination, corrosion and residues from electronic circuit boards. I further understand that devices requiring ultrasonic cleaning are generally already damaged and may contain hidden faults that cannot be detected beforehand. Ultrasonic cleaning may expose pre-existing damage, reveal hidden corrosion, loosen weakened components or result in components failing that were already compromised. I expressly authorise Hoets and Associates to perform ultrasonic cleaning where considered necessary and acknowledge that ultrasonic cleaning is performed entirely at my own risk. No warranty or guarantee is provided in respect of ultrasonic cleaning, and Hoets and Associates accepts no liability if my device, motherboard or any component fails to function, develops additional faults or becomes beyond economical repair following ultrasonic cleaning, except where such loss is caused by the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of Hoets and Associates.I understand that repairs to laptop hinges, plastic casings, plastic welding and similar structural repairs are temporary in nature due to normal wear and tear and repeated opening and closing of the device. Accordingly, no warranty is provided on hinge repairs, plastic welding or plastic reconstruction, and such repairs are carried out entirely at my own risk.I expressly waive all claims against Hoets and Associates for incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from repair services, except where prohibited by law. Hoets and Associates' liability, where legally established, shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific repair giving rise to the claim. Customer satisfaction remains our highest priority, and every repair will be carried out professionally, with reasonable care and within a reasonable timeframe.
